SNL's 50th Anniversary Special

Celebrating SNL's 50th season, 4Wall provided video, lighting, truss and automation for the Anniversary Show. Lighting called for over 150 moving and static fixtures as well as T1 robo spots fixed throughout Studio 8H. In addition to lighting, it took over 28 million pixels to complete the video needs. This included (3) Absen PL 2.5 walls for stage 3 where Lil Wayne performed, (2) Absen PL 2.5 walls on the guest band stage for Paul McCartney in addition to an automated wall of Absen PL 1.9 hanging dead center of Studio 8H. John Mulaney even got in on the LED requests and needed a 30’ x 12’ PL 2.5 wall for his infamous musical sketch.  To complete the experience, we installed an 18’ x 10’ Absen PL 1.9 wall in Studio 8G for overflow viewing.

Outside the studio, 4Wall was tasked to supply all lighting and rigging for the massive red carpet tent which included over 140 lighting fixtures for the carpet, talent areas and Glambot.
