General Summary
The Junior Project Technology Specialist is responsible for designing, configuring, prepping, programming, executing, and providing long term support for media server, video, networking, engineering, and show control systems.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Providing excellent service to all customers, vendors, employees, and visitors at all times.
Personal Responsibilities
Working on initiatives within the media server specialist team including, but not limited to:
- Continue learning about emerging technologies (including: media servers, video, networking equipment, etc.)
- Documenting new and existing systems to support field operations.
- Training existing and new users.
- Working directly with client and trade groups on adoption of 4Wall server platforms.
- Advising the design and specification of media server systems from client concept to implementation, in coordination with Client, Sales, Project Management, and all other involved departments.
- Producing content templates for clients based on the overall system design, in coordination with sales, engineering, and project management.
- Executing media servers and video projects from pre-production to installation, tech, run, and strike of these systems.
- Prepping media server and video systems in the shop, and going on site to install and program.
- Designing and implementing show control systems for staging, broadcast, corporate, and systems installation.
- Implementing 4Wall's IP Networking policies across video and media server rental inventory
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations.
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor or General Manager
- Coordinating with all onsite departments to facilitate their networking needs.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in entertainment lighting, staging and video business, college degrees are an acceptable source for experience as well.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain friendly, professional demeanor at all times.
- Must be able to effectively meet deadlines and goals.
- Strong PC skills including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
