General Summary
The VP of Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of a clearly devised marketing and communications strategy that facilitates continual business growth through organic and acquisition-based plans while also enhancing brand awareness, product marketing, events and sponsorships, and value propositions for 4Wall Entertainment. The VPM will partner with the Executive Leadership Team and play an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth. This senior leader will be a principal face of the company, representing 4Wall’s vision to current and prospective clients and media.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Strategic planning including corporate positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segment penetration plans, and related product positioning.
- Work with the CEO and the other executive team members to identify and develop strategic alliances and close/grow major customer accounts with the sales team.
- Acting as a member of the Senior Leadership Team for the broader business, as well as the marketing areas.
Personal Responsibilities
- Work with VP of Sales to define company sales process from lead generation to post-order customer service, including sales training and sale team metrics and incentives. Work closely with VP Sales to develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs.
- Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, analyst and market research management, and website design and content either directly or on an outsourced basis.
- Develop and manage 4Wall Entertainment’s marketing budget.
- Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.
- Act as spokesperson for the company with press and at industry events.
- Maintain industry knowledge through actively developing credible and strategic relationships with industry experts and conducting industry research.
- Partner with our Sales Team and Marketing team members to understand the business needs of existing and new business prospects, collaborating to design marketing strategies and weave a compelling sales story
- Define the appropriate marketing organization for the 4Wall Entertainment’s maturity/size.
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Supervise, lead, and direct all marketing team members.
- Actively participate in the interviewing, selection and hiring, training and cross-training, performance management, resolving problems, and recommending discipline and/or termination when appropriate, in coordination with HR, of all marketing team members when necessary.
- Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results for direct reports and, as necessary, for indirect reports.
- Ensure that all team members maintain high customer relations.
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture building initiatives
- Ensure that team members have personal growth opportunities and assist with career path goals.
- Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of marketing leadership
- Senior leadership level experience, with a deep understanding of consumer brands and experience managing both brand and performance marketing.
- Experience in the lighting, audio, video or entertainment industry.
- Has held responsibility for building and executing plans to deliver against financial goals or company objectives.
- Demonstrated success in creating awareness for a growth-phase company in a dynamic marketplace.
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
