How to use our CAD Design Service to Get The Most Out of Your Event
As a full-service video and lighting provider, did you know we offer our clients an in-house CAD design service?
Our CAD service includes technical drawings of our equipment, custom technical drawings of builds, 3D renders and pre-visualisations being used in your project. This service enables us to ensure every technical requirement has been considered, avoiding any potential issues onsite, and the finished result is exactly what you want.
Here's how can get the most out of our CAD design service:
1. Add our technical drawings of AV and lighting equipment into your design
We have a catalogue of technical drawings (in ".dwg" format) of most of our video and lighting products, enabling you to simply drag and drop a product with all of its technical data into your design - whether that's for an exhibition, conference, product launch or festival.
Use when: You have an existing design that needs the exact dimensions of a product dropped into the design to ensure this works within your design.

2. Ask us to create custom technical drawings of your design idea
Our team have the technical capability to offer a completely custom CAD design service, as part of our rental and production service. We can build your idea for you, whether that be integrating lighting fixtures onto a custom rig or building a creative curved LED wall. Our team considers how the tech can be integrated into your design, taking into consideration rigging, weight, health and safety and best use of the technology.
Use when: You need an LED screen or lighting design built from scratch that considers rigging, groundstack and health and safety.

3. Generate 3D visualisations of the technical design or equipment
Our CAD design team can turn our technical drawings into 3D visualisations - this is especially useful if you do not have an in-house design team or agency involved in your project. We use a range of suites to do this and can export the look and feel of our renders to suit your requirements.
Use when: You need a 3D visualisation of the video or lighting equipment in context to sell to an end client and to ensure the "idea" works visually.

4. Create a Pre-Vis "show" for lighting and video design
We can take your idea one step further. We have an in-house team who specialise in creating pre-visualisations for video and lighting productions. This means, using various suites including Depence, WYSIWYG and Vectorworks, we can render out a complete "show" for you to review and export to deliver to the production team.
Use when: You need to see your show happening before it goes live, applies primarily to concert touring and conference sets.
