General Summary
The Director of Business Development will have responsibility for developing significant new business opportunities for 4Wall Entertainment in an assigned geographic region including working in outside sales visiting clients. Strengthening client relationships primarily in an assigned geographic area, while providing service and support for system integration projects, new and used sales, as well as rentals.
Typical Duties & Responsibilities of Position:
Organizational Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Regional General Manager and General Manager to establish sales objectives, forecasts, budgets, and strategies.
- Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company-wide initiatives.
- Ensure compliance of brand standard procedures and policies.
- Ensure company’s reputation and corporate values are upheld and enhanced.
Personal Responsibilities:
- Achievement of sales, profit, and strategic objectives for assigned geographic region.
- Coordination with customers on complex projects from concept to completion.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with key customer accounts at headquarters and branch locations within geographical designated region.
- Conduct regular analysis of region and customer performance to understand what is working, and where counter measures are required.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining current customer base.
- Develop, deploy and manage successful sales promotions and incentive programs to drive sustained revenue growth
- Communicating the equipment and services contracted to all 4Wall departments to ensure all details of the sale are covered
- Manage and attend product expositions, trade shows and other customer related events to promote and represent 4Wall Entertainment, and gather competitive and market intelligence.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a wide and strong internal network with supporting functions to ensure efficient and productive output.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings.
- Effectively communicate customer needs, competitor activities and other market trends to the various 4Wall Entertainment functional stakeholders. Become an advocate for 4Wall Entertainment and work collaboratively with 4Wall Entertainment team to fulfill identified needs.
- Encourage and drive a strong sales environment in order to further drive business and excellence within each given market.
- Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 7+ years of proven sales experience
- Successful track record of creating sales growth at or above target margins
- Extensive list of contacts within the industry
- Vast knowledge of the respective local markets and regions
- Familiarity with entertainment lighting, audio, and other special event equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
- Superior Customer Service skills to deal with both internal and external personnel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which drives revenue
- Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations and meet deadlines and goals
- Strong PC skills including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
Position Location and/or Territory and Travel:
- Position will require up to (25 %) travel but may require up to (75 %).
