Check-In Department Lead

General Summary
The Check-In Lead is responsible for supervising the Check-In Clerks and managing the check-in process. This includes inspecting and organizing all incoming gear when returning to the Shop per 4Wall quality standards and procedures.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Basic Duties
- Show up on time and ready to work
- Utilize IT-supported software/Apps (i.e., Teams, OKTA, RW, etc.)
- Greet customers when they arrive
- Lead by example
- Keep work area clean
- Unload trucks
- Check-in equipment as it returns
- Organize shop tech workflow to check-in shows as needed
Planning/Communication
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Establish priorities, provide direction, assign tasks, coordinate and support the Check-In team to ensure productivity and instill initiative.
- Notify shop operations of any damages or missing equipment
- Ensure all check-in sessions are closed or suspended
- Update check-in log
- Verify all subrental POs are received and returned
- Communicate labor needs to shop operations
- Plan workflow for the day/week
Workflow In
- Update check-in log
- Receive, find, and return sub-rentals
- Receive transfers
Workflow Out
- Return gear to depts
Maintenance/Repair
- Ensure all broken equipment is put in repair in RW per Repair SOP
- Ensure wet equipment SOP is followed

- Adding and removing items from orders at the RW staging screen

Other Duties
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
- Troubleshoot any conflicts or issues when equipment enters the building.
- Maintain an accurate inventory count per 4Wall procedures.
- Wear the proper safety mask when painting at all times.
- Actively check and respond to 4Wall email while on the clock.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
- Must have a working knowledge of all types of equipment coming in and leaving the Shop.
- Must be able to take directions as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Must have a solid work background, including recent consistent work experience. Gaps must be explainable.
- Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented and have great customer service skills.
- Experience in the entertainment lighting and video industry is highly preferred.
- Must be willing to remain clean-shaven to wear a respirator and in order to pass the medical clearance for fit test.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; duties include loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
