Dock Manager
DOCK MANAGER

General Summary
The Dock Manager has the primary responsibility of providing coordination, supervision, planning, and support for the Dock, Drivers and Check-in Departments. This role requires excellent organizational skills that ensure our team members are providing the very best customer service.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Basic Duties
- Show up on time and ready to work
- Greet cutomers when they arrive
- Lead by example
- Utilize IT-supported software/Apps (i.e., Teams, OKTA, RW, etc.)
- Verify all equipment is delivered to the dock
- Verify all equipment is branded properly
- Verify all equipment is packed to ship safely
- Load vehicles
- Verify all equippment is staged
Planning/Communication
- Safely team load trucks
- Notify operations if vehicles cannot ship items safely
- Determine work assignments and equipment needs based on work orders and/or oral instructions.
Workflow In
- Create and verify out contracts are complete
- Verify all PO returns have return contracts
- Create transfer manifest
Maintenance/Repair
- Ensure proper load bars or straps are available
- Move equipment within the warehouse by operating forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment.

Other Duties
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities
- Maintain high-level quality control within the department.
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager
- Ensure that all employees, vendors, outside contractors, etc. are operating all job tasks, functions and equipment in a safe manner per company policy.
- Complete daily logs.
- Learn and work in other departments within the Shop as requested by the Operations Manager or Shop Foreman.
- Ensure all drivers have the training and licenses required to operate their specific vehicles. Ensure all DOT-regulations are being adhered to.
- Wear the proper safety mask when painting at all times.
- Actively check and respond to 4Wall email while on the clock.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
- At least 4 years of previous warehouse or dock management experience required, including leading drivers and warehouse employees.
- Working knowledge of warehouse functions and operations, such as security and safety programs, loading docks, scheduling pick up/drop offs.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
- Computer skills, including working knowledge of the internet, Outlook, Excel, and the ability to learn new software.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to direct, coach, mentor, and support team members.
- Must be able to give directions as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented and have great customer service skills.
- Understanding and knowledge of theatrical lighting, staging, rigging, and entertainment equipment is preferred.
- Must be willing to remain clean shaven to wear a respirator and in order to pass the medical clearance for fit test.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.; duties include loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
