General Summary
The Junior 3D Workflow and Technology Specialist's primary roles are to oversee the 3D Pipeline for Virtual and Live Productions. Junior 3D Workflow and Technology Specialist will identify and validate new technology and workflows alongside the Special Projects Team.
Responsibilities of this position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Providing excellent service to all customers, vendors, employees, and visitors at all times.
- Representing the 4Wall brand.
Personal Responsibilities
- Oversee previsualization technology with the VPs of Special Projects.
- Act as part of the core consulting team on all Virtual Production, Live Production, and Installation needs as it relates to 3D workflows.
- Act as the overall Pre-Production programmer on jobs.
- Point of contact between content and clients as it relates directly to the execution of workflows.
- Producing content templates for clients based on the overall system design, in coordination with the sales, engineering, and project management teams.
- Prepping media server and video systems in the shop as well as going onsite to install and program.
- Implementation of show control systems.
- Researching and testing emerging technologies as it pertains to our industry.
- Attending industry related events (such as NAB) to learn, teach, and ensure the department’s close connection with manufacturers as well as emerging technologies.
Team Responsibilities
- Lead onsite crew on a per project basis.
- Help in the process of training new members of the team and freelance assets.
- Ensure that all team members maintain high customer relations for internal and external customers.
- Communicate in a positive, informative, and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
Key Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in virtual production environments or entertainment lighting, staging, and video business.
- Ability to work well with others and collaborate on projects.
- Ability to see projects through from beginning to end.
- Leadership skills and ability to communicate, direct, and support team members.
- Proficiency in project and task management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Vectorworks, Blender, Disguise, or the ability to learn.
- Must be extremely organized and have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort. When the employee is on-site, the position will require to regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist and kneel as well as lift and /or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. On-site, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. .
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends as required.
Position Location and/or Territory and Travel
- Position is based out of New Jersey Shop/Brooklyn VP Stage.
- Position will require travel.
- A passport will be needed.
