General summary
The Prep Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all quality standards are being met and verifying orders are complete and staged to meet customer requirements. This position will also be responsible for overseeing the crews and installation on all assigned 4Wall Entertainment jobs. As well as managing the prep areas to ensure customer needs are met before orders leave, and coordinate with Account Managers to make sure all equipment is included.

Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities
- Represent 4Wall in a professional manner while on the road or at events
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Team, or General Manager.
Personal Responsibilities
- Providing support to 4Wall clients as required per the show in the role of the Crew Chief, Programmer, or Lead Technician.
- When not working on a show, will be responsible for providing client support on shows, which may include reading and/or creating CAD designs, show prep, rehearsal management, etc.
- Working independently without supervision as a seamless part of the client’s team.
- Ensure all equipment delivered to the prep area and loading dock are complete, organized, and presented as outlined in 4Wall SOPs in the appropriate time frame.
- Manage Prep Area Schedule
- Coordinate Prep / De-prep labor as needed with Labor Coordinator
- Monitor and improve quality to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Interface with customers and communicate/resolve any issues during prep with the Operations team and Department Heads.
- Implement existing standards for quality and presentation.
- Review orders to ensure all equipment needed is included in the order.
- Assist with logistics and shop labor as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Lead Technician, programmer, and/ crew chief.
- Understanding and knowledge of theatrical lighting, staging, rigging, and entertainment equipment is required.
- Experience in entertainment lighting industry is required.
- Must have good computer skills and take a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repair
- Must be able to take directions as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, and squat on a regular basis.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of times.
- Must be able to handle/use various hand tools.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
Position Location and/or Territory and Travel
- 85% of the work will be in the warehouse, 15% will be on site work (may or may not involve travel)

- Based on the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), management has analyzed this position and determined it to be exempt due to the Administrative Exemption.
- This position is considered safety-sensitive and will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
