Video Shop Foreman

Reports to: Operations Manager/Shop Foreman 
Supervises: All Video Department  team members at location or N/A


General Summary                           

The Video Shop Foreman has primary responsibility of providing coordination, supervision, planning, and support for the video department within the shop that are responsible for prep and QC of entertainment event equipment.  This role requires excellent organizational skills that ensure our shop team members are providing the very best customer service.    

Typical Duties & Responsibilities of Position:

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Oversee staff levels in shop and work with Shop Foreman/Operations Manager to determine day to day tasks of the department.  
  • Partner with the Shop Foreman/Operations Manager to provide timely reporting and address any issues/concerns as needed.   
  • Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities

My Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all orders are entered into RentalWorks correctly before the Video Department receives the pick lists.  
  • Confirm all paperwork and other documents are completed accurately for the Vidoe Department.  
  • Maintain quality control of equipment in the shop, making sure items are properly prepped and in good condition
  • Use rental inventory database and information from team to identify shortages in equipment and relay information to Shop Foreman/Operations Manager
  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 

My Team Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that all team members maintain high customer relations.
  • Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture building initiatives 
  • Ensures accountability from all direct reports. 
  • Ensure that all employees, vendors, outside contractors, etc. are operating all job tasks, functions and equipment in a safe manner per company policy and that meets OSHA standards and other governmental or regulatory requirements.  Ensure that employees feel comfortable reporting any work place hazards or safety concerns
  • Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees. 

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a department head 
  • Understanding and knowledge of video equipment and entertainment equipment is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to learn new software programs
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work overtime on nights and weekends on a semi-frequent basis 
  • Knowledge of basic operations, including security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Must possess outstanding communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to direct, coach, mentor, and support team members
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Physical Requirements

The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.

Availability:

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, semi-frequently, as needed
