General Summary
The Systems Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the shipping and receiving requirements for the Systems and Design division.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
Personal Responsibilities
- Upon delivery of the shipments, confirm inventory amounts and inspect for damage. If damaged, manage the claim with the shipping company.
- Within 1 calendar day (24 hours) from arrival at the Shop, receive the inventory into RentalWorks to the correct project.
- Once received, mark all cartons with the RW job number and distribute the received contracts to the Project Managers.
- Coordinate and designate storage locations of the equipment/gear with the Project Logistics Technician, Project Management & Project Coordinators.
- Coordinate pick up & deliveries with Project Logistics Technician & Project Management team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations.
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, or General Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Previous shipping and receiving experience required, including experience with safely and securely palletizing equipment to ship via 3rd party shippers, bills of lading, purchase orders and obtaining shipping quotes.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills in order to work well with clients and the Company’s employees.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Must be able to take directions as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Must have a solid work background, including recent consistent work experience. Gaps must be explainable.
- Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented and have great customer service skills.
- Experience in entertainment lighting industry is strongly preferred.
- Must be willing to be clean-shaven to pass the medical clearance for fit test.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; duties may include loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
