General Summary
The Fabrication & Prep Lead is responsible for working with the Project team to test and Prepare all lighting equipment for shipment to the job sites.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities.
Personal Responsibilities
- Manage fabrication efforts needed to complete the scope of work
- Direct fabrication crew on daily tasks to maintain project schedule
- Manage fabrication to meet the projects delivery schedules
- Collaborate with the project team to determine the best methods of fabrication to be included in submittal drawings
- Fabricate and/or assemble fixtures, enclosures, and equipment racks needing preparation for installation
- Test all fixtures, power supplies, and equipment racks for functionality and factory defects and address issues found to the team for rectification
- Label equipment with Location Type, UID, Scene, and Address information
- Package elements for safe transport to the scenic vendor or site delivery
- Provide the Project Coordinator with weights and dimensions for all elements to generate packing slips
- Confirm all elements are ready for FAT and assist with requests made by Universal during the process.
- Assist the Project Logistics Tech with receiving goods into Rental Works
- Collect Packing Lists
- Maintain lighting, hardware, installation tools, and sales demo inventory
- Pick stock inventory for shipment
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager
Key Requirements
- Experience with entertainment technology (specifically lighting and control)
- Excellent computer skills and familiarity with applicable hardware and software
- Experience working safely with hand and power tools
- Experience operating large vehicles (Box trucks, vans, etc.)
- Experience operating heavy equipment (Aerial platforms, forklifts, etc)
- Willingness to learn, be trained and acquire certifications (i.e OSHA, Fork Lift, etc.)
- Ability to self-manage, takes initiative, and energetic
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and service-oriented mentality and approach
- Good driving skills and a clean DMV record
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuities such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.

- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
