Safety Manager

General Summary
The Safety Manager is responsible for the Safety Program. This includes safety programs for our locations in the US, including warehouses as well as on-site projects.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintains at a high degree or readiness to support Operations across the organization - including 4Wall locations and on-site projects (includes productions and systems/construction sites).
- Supports standard operating procedures (SOP), standards, and initiatives that help achieve organizational objectives from a copmany-wide level as it relates to safety.
- Prepare regular reports as requested
Personal Responsibilities
- Undergoing training and staying abreast of the safety rules and regulations of all government entities at the federal, state and local levels.
- Sourcing risk assessments, as needed.
- Conducting inspections and safety audits in order ensure compliance with applicable environmental and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining employee training programs. Evaluating effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments.
- Ensure that all shows/on-site safety requirements are being adhered to by on-site team. Work withon-site staff, as needed, on safety requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining safety and training records.
- Coordinate the Safety Coordinators at each location and hold regular meetings.
- Developing, updating and managing workplace safety procedures, programs and policies.
- Work with outside consultants, when needed.
- Responding to reported accidents in order to evaluate the Company’s current safety practices and developing policies and procedures for avoiding future occurrences.
- Report and actively manage all workers compensation claims.
- Maintaining a watch over the safety programs and ensuring that they are appropriate to offer requisite safety to the employees.
- Work closely with the Director of Facilities to ensure that all warehouse safety equipment, PPE, and supplies are available and maintained.
- All other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Ensure that all employees, vendors, outside contractors, etc. are operating all job tasks, functions and equipment in a safe manner per company policy and that meets OSHA standards and other governmental or regulatory requirements. Ensure that employees feel comfortable reporting any work place hazards or safety concerns
- Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
Key Requirements
- Experience implementing and managing safety programs, SOPs, and training,
- Knowledge of operations, including security and safety programs.
- A degree or certification in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is preferred.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong ability to speak with poise
- Excels at operating in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
