CROSS RENTAL/PURCHASING AGENT

General Summary
The Cross Rental/Purchasing Agent works with the Account Managers, Account Executive, and other sales team members to identify and solve shortages of equipment for each job. They will also be responsible for managing the purchasing process, from start to finish, for their specific location per standard operating procedures and instruction of the General Manager.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
- Collaborate with Regional Purchasing and Asset Manager and General Manager on purchases for specific location.
Personal Responsibilities
- Organize and stay up-to-date on Purchase Orders and Rental Orders
- Locate and secure all sub-rental equipment
- Maintain working knowledge of all items in rental inventory, including but not limited to rigging, truss, staging, conventional, moving lights, intelligent lighting consoles, LEDs, and effects
- Communicate professionally and effectively with Account Managers, Account Executives, other sales team members, vendors and the Operations Manager to determine and secure the appropriate sub-rental equipment that is needed and get the proper approval
- Receive and process purchase requests and ensure all approvals are in place
- Follow purchasing strategies as outlined by the Regional Purchasing and Asset Manager, Regional General Manager, and General Manager.
- Write POs and let vendors know of any special needs or requests
- Inform Sales staff of pricing or issues with items ordered from vendors
- Manage relationships with key suppliers
- Confirm Drop Shipments
- Confirm shipment and receipt by client
- Obtain sales pricing and availability for Sales staff, as requested
- Work with Accounting on pricing discrepancies from vendor invoices
- Work with vendors when items are damaged/incorrectly shipped/back ordered
- Other duties as assigned by management
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager
Key Requirements:
- 2-3 years show site experience preferred
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient in Excel, PPT, Word, and highly familiar utilizing ERP tool in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with entertainment lighting and other special event equipment
- Knowledge of respective local markets
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.

- The position is assigned to a local 4Wall location.
- Position may require travel on occasion.
