General Summary 
A Project Technical Director will typically work under the direction of a Project Manager & Project Director as an installation, integration, support and system startup service provider for the Systems and Design division. It is the Project TD’s responsibility to make sure that essential tasks are completed ontime, within the estimated budget for the project and in compliance with contracted project specifications and requirements. In some cases, the Project TD may function as a Project Manager on an as-needed basis. Additionally, a Project TD will have duties assigned in support of the Systems and Design division as needed.

Organizational Responsibilities
Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities.
Personal Responsibilities
- System design assistance, integration start up and programming of ETC, Color Kinetics and other manufacturer’s products.
- Coordination with and verification of work completed by an electrical contractor.
- Terminating low voltage wiring
- Theatrical and Architectural lighting fixture prep, hang and focus
- In depth troubleshooting of DMX, networked and other lighting control systems
- Provide email, over the phone and onsite technical support for systems
- Coordinate Warranty and Non-Warranty repairs
- Create and maintain As-Built Documentation
- Prepare and submit daily site reports for all onsite work and other reporting duties as required
- Check in and prep all incoming materials and equipment per the BOM and system design documentation
- Prepare and check out equipment to be delivered to job sites. Prepare and/or request accurate and timely out contracts
- Prepare required install tools and expendables kit for installation period
- Assist with programming and integration of all system equipment per requirements or specifications
- Upload record documents, configuration and programming files to 4Wall Systems folders for record keeping
- Request POs; data input into company sales database as required
- Release materials
- Comply with and document safety procedures as required
- Prepare cut sheet submittal packages for projects
- Job closeout including manufacturer closeout and billing, signoff paperwork, RW quantity adjustments, out contract, and final billing
- Assessing existing systems on site for upgrade / repair needs
- Site visits to include verifying field measurements, existing equipment and wiring
- Create take offs from plans and specs
- Read, analyze and execute project specifications
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Promote new business through onsite support and developing potential sales leads in support of the Sales department
- Supervise and coordinate installation crews and sub-contractors provided by 4Wall
- Assume team lead role of onsite 4Wall installation team and over hires as assigned
- Attend project and construction coordination and safety meetings
- Assist, as needed, with coordinating project scheduling, preparation of project quotations, specifying equipment, laying out lighting control systems, estimating labor/ services into quotes, writing and processing small orders, RMA processing, and packing and shipping coordination and documentation as required

- Hold and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Solid knowledge of electricity and electronics
- In depth knowledge of DMX, sACN, RDM and manufacturer specific lighting networking protocols
- Experience working safely with hand and power tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre or a similar field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Production / Stagehand experience
- Ability to read and interpret system drawings, electrical schematics, architectural plans and lighting plots
- Experience operating large vehicles (Box trucks, vans, etc.)
- Experience operating heavy equipment (Aerial platforms, forklifts, etc)
- ETC Factory Certification preferred
- OSHA 10 certification required and OSHA 30 certification preferred
- ETCP Electricians Certification preferred
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evening and weekends often
