Repair Administrator
REPAIR ADMINISTRATOR

General Summary
The Repair Administrator is responsible for providing hands-on training and support to the shop technicians for more in-depth servicing and repair of all company-owned lighting and video equipment and all customer repairs. This includes providing technical support to customers as needed, implementing software updates, and working with the Purchasing and Asset Departments on replacement part orders, and RMAs.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities.
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
Personal Responsibilities
- Coordinate manufacturer training with National Team to provide training as necessary for the shop technicians.
- Implement software updates as needed.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing Department on replacement part orders and follow-up to ensure that parts are received in a timely manner.
- Work with Operations Manager and Shop Foreman to coordinate and schedule the shop technicians on repair priorities, to prevent equipment from being out of service for longer than 60 days.
- Coordinate with the shop technicians to ensure RMA orders are completed and equipment returns back to inventory after repairs are completed, in a timely manner.
- Establish priorities, provide direction, assign tasks, coordinate and support the Outside Service Technicians to ensure productivity and instill initiative.
- Test, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the equipment, including providing technical support to customers as needed.
- Advise Operations Manager on part stocking.
- Actively check and respond to 4Wall email during business hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager
Key Requirements:
- Experience in the repair of equipment manufactured by some of the following vendors; ETC, Vari-lite, Martin, GrandMA, etc.
- Demonstrated technical/electronics training and/or experience.
- Must have good troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Must be able to take directions as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Must have a solid work background, including recent consistent work experience. Gaps must be explainable.
- Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented and have great customer service skills.
- Experience in entertainment lighting industry is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.; duties include loading and unloading trucks, as well as moving rental equipment.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders and safely use hand and power tools.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 70 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
