VP OF LIVE EVENTS

JOB DESCRIPTION

FLSA Status: ExemptEEO Class: 1.2 - First/Mid-Level Officials & Mgrs
Department: COGS: Labor - Internal 
Reports to: Senior VP of Live Events
Supervises: N/A

 

General Summary
The VP of Live Event’s primary role is to work with the Senior VP of Live Events.  This role is responsible for planning, developing and executing live events that will represent the company favorably and provide the very best customer service.

Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to existing clients to maintain and improve their relationship with the company
  • Maintain a high level of live event logistics coordination knowledge, and awareness of production needs in regards to building shows, executing preps, and ensuring on-site success for the production staff
  • Maintain and operate 4Wall quality standard in all work activities

Personal Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the Senior VP of Live Events, proactively build strategic business relationships to obtain new and repeat customers.  Plan and organize a sales strategy for development of revenue streams with new business contacts and customers. 
  • Evaluate solution ideas by considering data, precedents, and input from others, as well as your own personal experience and knowledge.
  • Provide input and guidance for the production staff in regards to builds on show sites
  • Ensure that our high standards are maintained.
  • Assist clients in all aspects of creating a quality show, as needed, including equipment choices, review of show files, executing prep and trucking, ensuring quality control of equipment and labor offerings on-site
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Team Responsibilities

  • Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all clients, vendors, and 4Wall employees
  • Work collaboratively with internal customers, clients and vendors.
  • Work with other members of the team to generate innovative solutions to obstacles.
  • Participate in team meetings, assist and train team members, take responsibility for contributing to the success of the team, offer solutions to team problems and promote a positive team environment. 
  • Encourage team members to work in a safe manner. 

Key Requirements

  • Working knowledge of entertainment lighting and video
  • Proficiency in project and task management, and applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Vectorworks and inventory software systems.
  • Programming and computer networking skills.
  • Must be extremely organized and have excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, adapt to rising challenges and own all aspects of a project
  • Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives. 

Physical Requirements

  • The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort. When the employee is on-site, the position will require to regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. On-site, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate.

Availability:

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
