General Summary
The Check-In Clerk is responsible for managing the check-in process. This includes inspecting and organizing all incoming gear when returning to the Shop per 4Wall quality standards and procedures.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Responsible for receiving all sub-rentals and receiving the PO’s in RentalWorks.
- Sort the sub hired equipment and make sure it is brought to the proper department for a timely return.
- Make sure subrental PO is properly returned in RentalWorks to close out PO’s.
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities.
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
Personal Responsibilities
- With the team, successfully unload trucks, check-in and inspect returned equipment.
- Check-in orders, including scanning equipment barcodes and/or entering quantity count data in RentalWorks.
- Troubleshoot any conflicts or issues when equipment enters the building.
- Maintain an accurate inventory count per 4Wall procedures.
- Wear the proper safety mask when painting at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Learn and work in other departments within the Shop as requested by the Operations Manager or Shop Foreman.
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations.
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager
Key Requirements
- Must have a working knowledge of all types of equipment coming in and leaving the Shop.
- Must be able to take directions as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Must have a solid work background, including recent consistent work experience. Gaps must be explainable.
- Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented and have great customer service skills.
- Experience in the entertainment lighting and video industry is highly preferred.
- Must be willing to remain clean-shaven to wear a respirator and in order to pass the medical clearance for fit test.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; duties include loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
